This website was created to celebrate the Society for Scholarly Publishing’s 40th anniversary in 2018. The photos, stories, interviews, and meeting history posted on this site have been supplied by the SSP community.
If you’d like to share any materials or photos you have from past SSP events, the 40th Anniversary Member Outreach sub-group has created a series of Dropbox folders, organized by decade, where you can upload files. Simply click on the applicable decade below and upload image files, PDFs of programs, or any other asset that you are willing to share.
Alternatively you can jump into the conversation and start sharing photos and memories using #SSPat40 on social media.
If you have a specific memory or thought about how SSP has helped develop your professional career, please share with the Member Outreach committee as they work to create a special anniversary edition website and other surprises to be shared at the Annual Meeting. You can email those members via any of the links below:
About the Society for Scholarly Publishing – SSP, founded in 1978, is a nonprofit organization formed to promote and advance communication among all sectors of the scholarly publication community through networking, information dissemination, and facilitation of new developments in the field. SSP members represent all aspects of scholarly publishing—including publishers, printers, e-products developers, technical service providers, librarians, and editors. SSP members come from a wide range of large and small commercial and nonprofit organizations. They meet at SSP’s annual meetings, educational seminars, and focus groups to hear the latest trends from respected colleagues and to discuss common and mutual (and sometimes divergent) goals and viewpoints.
