Into the Archives: 2002 Annual Meeting Program

In 2002, SSP held its 24th Annual Meeting, Collaboration, Controversy, and Common Sense, on May 29-31, at the Westin Copley Place in Boston, Mass.

The preliminary program from the event is available here by clicking this link: 2002 Annual Meeting Preliminary Program.  It’s worth looking over, sessions at the meeting included “Electronic Ink”, “The Open Archives Initiative and Scholarly Publishing”, and “E-Books: Now That They’re Dead… They’re Alive”.  Also of note, a drawing for a Palm Pilot 705 was held in the Exhibitor Market Place.

The Annual Meeting was organized by the 2001-2002 SSP Program Committee.  That Committee was chaired by Linda Beebe and Margaret Reich.  Ann Schaffner served as Local Arrangements Chair.
